Definition-
Angle modulation may be defined as the process in which the total phase angle of a carrier wave is varied in accordance with the instantaneous value of the modulating or message signal while keeping the amplitude of the carrier constant.
c(t) = Acos(wt + q)
where A = Amplitude of carrier
w = carrier frequency
q = some phase angle
Types of Angle Modulation-
1) Phase Modulation
2) Frequency Modulation
Applications-
1) Radio broadcasting.
2) Two way mobile radio.
3) Microwave communication.
4) TV sound transmission.
5) Cellular radio.
6) Satellite communication.
